Hi www.greedygirlsguide.com checking in from SITS I was just surfing through and found this post. I'm so glad I did it really has some great insight. Personally I like, no love product reviews. I agree with you that hey should be within reason and on topic. I review items I like from time to time, but thats because I like them and I think they are relevant to my readers. Also when I am shopping for items first thing i do is go to google blogs and search for reviews, when i make a purchase I like to know what others think about it before I purchase mine and i like to compare for other products. I have found a lot of great items out there based on reviews i read. So long story short i think they are great and helpful when needed. I started my blog to give my readers something i thought wasn't out there and sometimes it's just my opinion on a particular item .-= GreedyGirl1´s last blog ..You SHOULD weigh yourself every day!!! =-.

Good points here and thank you for speaking up about this. I am very careful what products or books I review. If it looks like I might not like the product I pass on reviewing it. If the company says they want an honest opinion then I will review and be honest with both pros and cons. I rely on other homeschool moms curriculum reviews so I would hope they are not caught up in this kind of scenario with PR people.

I respectfully disagree with everything on this post.

Whatever happened to blogging for fun?? Who decided that a blog must, or must not, include specific elements?? Why is the implied intent that every blogger “must” be aimed at attracting and increasing it’s audience??

Great tips, I read another article a few months ago and it helped me out tremendously. I also learned the linking out rule quickly too…many bloggers don’t realize what a difference sharing other links makes.
