NJ Unemployment Funds Dried Up?

Amber over at New Jersey Moms Blog talks about her battle with the NJ unemployment system. Seems the Department of Labor in our state is so understaffed (due to budget cuts) that they are not able to process claims or even answer the phones.
Now if only the Division of Taxation could suffer such a problem… Sorry, we can’t process your taxes, so none of you have to pay.

ok: someone called me, but was late one hour to call me will find out about my certification for my unemployment benefits, after one week, seems like a long time: WISH ME LUCK; and, i hope i’m approved: i can not believe a person can be fired for being three minutes late, even that it was because i had to use the toilet before i went to work, got suspeneded for that the month before.
i was told that they cancel my unemployment benefits, but i that could appeal their decision; but, i’m not sure if i’ll get my unemployment beneifts for the month of april, seem to be lost; that to reapply, that is what i was told, that i was to reopen my file, i’m not sure what that means maybe they might change their minds later: the phone # that i called, was @ 732-761-2021. &, i can not believe i was fired for being three [3] minutes late: i was late a few minutes once each week, but i had good excuse each time: the last time i was late i had to use toilet: i’m not sure, how they could fire me for that, but i got fired, for being three [3] minutes late 4work: is crazy. &, because of bad review of/by my previous boss, i’m denied my unemployment benefits:what do i do ?
