Joe the Plumber

I couldn’t resist posting this “I <3 Joe the Plumber" T-shirt, available at Cafe Press. I hope to write more on the candidates soon, but for now I’ll just say that I am disgusted that the media has essentially proclaimed NObama the winner already. I’m very afraid for the future of our country.
My blog has been sadly neglected lately. I have a lot to say, but the perfectionist in me inhibits my posting. I have pages of notes that I want to shape into coherent posts, but I don’t take the time to fully flesh them out. I probably should just post my random thoughts. This is, after all, supposed to be a record of my life.
I realize I have not written an update on the “preschool and panic attack” situation. All’s well. My girl is adjusting nicely and I am feeling much better, of course.
I’ve been spending my free time on two new activities: Digital scrapbooking and reading Twilight. I’m not a big book-reader, opting instead to read online, leaf through magazines, or scan non-fiction self-help books. But the buzz about this book has been so great that I picked it up during a recent trip to Borders (paying double what I would have on Amazon – d’oh!). And it absolutely lives up to the buzz. When I was younger I read every Sidney Sheldon book written, but it’s been more than a decade since I picked up a good fiction book (except for the Harry Potter series). I forgot how exciting it is to get sucked into another world.
And the digital scrapbooking. Damn. I resisted this hobby for a long time since I love the actual scissors and paper and tape scrapbooking. But then I started peeking into the options. Holy cow the options! With my love of web design, it’s just a tiny step to move into the world of digital scrapbooking. I’m currently working on my first digital layout and can’t wait to share it with you all.
I’m off now to shower and get ready for my day. Homeschool group today – science class, cooking club, engineering club and art class. A busy day for my son. A somewhat boring day for me and my girl.

Love the Tshirt. Too bad, like everything else, he got exploited by the whole deal.

Why do politicians make it so easy for us to make fun of them. It’s like if they get us to repeat all of their stupid remarks, we will find them cute. Hasn’t worked for W, probably wont work for the rest.
