Road Trip to BlogHer!

Oh, I SO wanted to do this.

The year we graduated from college, my husband (boyfriend at the time) and I drove from New Jersey to Utah and back. We packed some coolers, sleeping bags and a tent into the back of my little Hyundai and set off. It was an amazing trip I’ll never forget.

So when I heard about the possibility of a road trip to BlogHer, my mind started racing. How cool would it be to share a car (and a sweet, web-enabled ride at that) with some fellow BlogHers and tell our tale as we crossed the country? I might have moved heaven and earth to make it happen if I was offered the chance.

Jill Asher, one of the awesome women behind the Silicon Valley Moms Group, has worked hard to make this dream come true for a group of five bloggers. Here’s what she has to say:

Take five moms, give them a Chevy Tahoe Hybrid SUV, add wireless internet access in the vehicle, a GPS system, cutting-edge cameras and video recording technology, video games, music, gasoline, hotel stays, food, mainstream media covering the road trip on the internet & television – and see what happens as these hilarious and irreverent women drive coast to coast, picking up their fellow SV Moms Group Contributors and blogging it all on the road… Seriously, you will NOT want to miss following these bloggers as they make their way across the country, from Northern Virginia to San Francisco.

Alas, the trip is not scheduled to drive through my area. Maybe next year. But I will definitely be following their adventures!
