The Isagenix Diet: Days One and Two
When I’m trying to lose weight, it’s so depressing when I don’t see results fast enough. I feel like I’ve been trying (although half-heartedly at best) for years. So when a woman at my health club mentioned she was using the Isagenix program and lost 15 pounds in ten days, I had to look into it.
I decided that enough is enough and I needed something really drastic to make a change. I know that once I get myself over this nine-day period, I’ll want to continue putting good food into my body and keep the weight going down.
The diet consists of two cleansing days, five shake days, and two more cleansing days. On the cleansing days you drink the “Cleanse for Life” fruit drink mixed with water four times a day and you eat nothing except the “Snacks” they give you, which are kinda like vanilla-flavored chalk tablets. But the fruit drink is quite good, especially when it’s ice cold. And you drink water. TONS of water. I drank a gallon of water yesterday.
I really didn’t think I could do two days of fasting, but surprisingly I feel pretty good. Yesterday I had a headache, probably due to caffeine withdrawal, but I slept well and woke up feeling great this morning. I’m shocked at the fact that I am not feeling starved and nauseous, like I usually do when I’m hungry. My energy is a little low, but I did do some pushups, squats and lunges today. Other than that I’ve just rested. The hardest part has been preparing food for my kids, but my husband took care of most of that today.
Tomorrow I’m on to “shake” phase where I will replace two meals with Isagenix’s vanilla shake, then eat a healthy meal of ~ 600 calories. I’m looking forward to a nice big salad with fresh lettuce that the guy who mows our lawn brought from his garden.
Stay tuned… Tomorrow I’ll let you know how much weight I’ve lost so far.

Hmmm, 15 pounds in 10 days sounds tempting. But I couldn’t do a fasting diet since I’m still breastfeeding. Let us know how you do!

Shannon, Isagenix is solid. a friend of my wife lost over 70 pounds (safely) over several months and as a result makes a decent living selling the products. My wife and I love the meal replacements, and the fruit/veg supplements.
Misty, I agree the website could be a bit more user friendly.
