Homeschool Helper 11.12.07

// 11.12.07 // Filed under: Homeschooling, Parenting

Since I am no longer updating my Homeschool Hacks site, I’ve been collecting a number of education-related links. I will attempt to post these “homeschool helpers” once a week.

  • When cold or rainy weather hits, your hoops fan might enjoy Tabletop Basketball. We do this with a superball and the kitchen floor instead of a tabletop – it makes for crazy ball-chasing fun!
  • Thanksgiving art activities for grades K-6 includes Native American Indian crafts, make a dried bouquet, cornucopia and more.
  • Educational activities for every day in November, based on historical events and holidays.
  • Coolhead Luke is an interactive blog for kids who love funny poems and drawings. Jen and her son Colin have published a book and are now running a contest. Each month they post one of Colin’s drawings, and invite kids to write a poem to go along with it. The winning poem will be published on the web site and may appear in their next book.
  • I’m not personally into sporting “Homeschool High” t-shirts, but these are some cute designs you may want to check out.

    I LOVE the Thanksgiving arts and activities link! That was always my favorite part of teaching pre-schoolers!
