Neglect

This blog has been sorely neglected lately. Here’s an update on what’s been keeping me busy:
- Twitter. At first I did not see the benefit of Twitter, but I’m now addicted to those updates in my browser sidebar. It’s great to follow friends and people you admire professionally, and it’s also become a nice little source of news for me.
- Tumblr. The mini-blog goes solo. Tumblr is a fun way to collect and share links, quotes, quick posts, photos, and videos. I’m using it as a running commentary of the places I visit online, along with my notes and ideas. Twitter integration is a plus!
- Van Halen! PHAT Daddy & I got tickets to see Van Halen this week and I am SO excited. VH was my favorite band when I was in high school and I never got to see them in concert before they broke up. In my mind, they didn’t exist after David Lee Roth was gone. But now he’s back! And I’m going to see him live! We *almost* couldn’t go though because we couldn’t find a sitter. Big fat hugs and kisses to my friends for taking the kids overnight!
- Web site design. Just finished a new design for my husband’s business web site. Still working on a new design for this blog. Summer is over…
- New media. Social networking & bookmarking. Web apps. Widgets. I really dig this stuff and have been immersing myself in learning more about it.
So that’s the story. Coming soon: a real post; a new design; some more fine-tuning and re-focusing of my life. I think I’ll always be a work in progress.

Thanks for the CLIQ invitation, what a cool app! I tried to use my Yahoo! Avatar so I would match you and Mrs. Flinger, but when it resized it looked really weird. Hmmph.
I also just put up a Lijit widget, and I think it is the coolest! But it reminds me that I forget to Digg things, that I haven’t added anything to del.icio.us in forever-more to do! I think your blog looks fantastic, your hard work shows!
Long before I ever dreamed of having a blog of my own, I “discovered” blogs. I just went surfing around one day and went from blog to blog to blog. I distinctly remember hitting yours that day because (1.) that smile in your photo is unforgettable and (2.) you had posted about removing dooce from your blogroll and I thought, “Oh, this poor dooce person, her feelings must be hurt.” I laugh every time I think of it.
Anywho, I’m glad I’ve re-found you and adding you to my blogroll…see you on Twitter, too!
