Twas the Week Before BlogHer and All My Blogs Were Down

Yikes. Having some issues with my hosting company. Apparently their TOS never allowed database access for subdirectories (where all my blogs were located). And though I’ve been running my blogs like this for more than a year, they suddenly made a change on their end to prevent people from accessing the MySQL databases.

While this is clearly not their fault, since it was in the TOS and I was just not aware of it, I still feel like a general email to warn customers might have been nice. Now I’m spending a day moving domains, copying databases, and re-installing Wordpress, when my time would be better spent working on my new blog project and getting to know more bloggers who will be at BlogHer.

I’ve had to make a few changes and now the Homeschool Hacks site will be located at phatmommy.com/hacks. The domain homeschoolhacks.com will redirect to that location, so you don’t need to update links to the main site. If you have any links to specific pages on that site, though, you’ll have to change the “homeschoolhacks.com” part to “phatmommy.com/hacks/.” The blog should be live again shortly.
