The Bra Tree and Other Seriously Not Exciting Stuff

// 3.1.07 // Filed under: Homeschooling, My Daughter, My Son, Parenting, Thriving

Since I haven’t blogged in, like, forever, I’m going to post some pics and a quick update for family archive posterity.

What we’ve been doing…

L: skiing; playing Toontown; reading about the Presidents and government; learning about constellations and saw Saturn through a telescope at a star-gazing class; singing Hannah Montana songs incessantly

C: learning numbers and reading a lot of counting books; repeats everything we say and wants to do everything we do; deciding she LOVES play-doh (much to my chagrin because, eww, it smells and gets stuck under my fingernails); singing Hannah Montana songs incessantly

Me: playing Toontown because L got me hooked on the damn game; scrapbooking; skiing, spending time over at Maya’s Mom; cleaning everything with my new hepa-filter vacuum; listening to the kids singing Hannah Montana songs incessantly

L is getting to be a fantastic skier. We’ve been going once or twice a week depending on the snow conditions and he is now skiing double black diamond (expert) trails in the Poconos. Here’s a photo of L getting a little air off a ski jump. FYI, I tried this same jump and wiped out. It’s much higher and steeper than it looks. Seriously, it is.

And I just have to share with you… The Bra Tree.

We pass this tree while going up the ski lift. Apparently many ladies have found it amusing to throw bras out onto the tree. And it is indeed pretty amusing.

  1. Sounds like you have been busy! We haven’t been boarding all year…our homeschool group goes the same day as Latin class. (Can you give me one more reason to bag it next year?)

And thanks for the pic of the bra tree…you have no idea what was running through my mind!

Holy cow! My L and I are also hooked on Toontown. I, however, am much to cheap to pay the monthly subscription. ;) Our ISP gives us 4 hours free a month. We use it up and then sit and stew for the remainder of the month. ha!

  5. Philip says:

Great action shot! So were you wearing a bra that day, so that you could add your on special touch to the bra tree?

  6. Robyn says:

I think the white one belongs to me. Sorry!
