Spiders!

OK, I don’t like spiders. I get creeped by pretty much any bug. Naturally, this aversion has rubbed off on my son, so he’s not exactly the kind of boy that’s made of “snips and snails and puppy dog tails.” That said, I occasionally make an attempt to show him that bugs can be kinda cool, too. When I came upon this post by GeekDad, I knew the idea would fit the bill.
GeekDad shows a cool way to “capture” a spider web. First spray paint the web (be sure the spider is not there!). Next place a piece of paper in a contrasting color behind the web, then snip the threads to free the web from whatever it’s attached to. Check out GeekDad’s post for more details - he’s got some awesome photos.
We get some pretty spectacular spider webs in our yard, and I’m looking forward to trying this out over the summer.

Thanks for sharing that Sharon, way kewl!
Even though I LOATHE spiders, I did allow my son to buy a nice, big, hairy, chilean-rose…that was four years ago and Felicia is still kickin’. LOL Now, should the occasion ever arise in which I walk in the room and see one of the closers off of her little home, and she’s missing? Well, I’m sellin’ the house.

I am also freaked out by spiders. Thankfully, I have a cat who says they “taste like chicken.”
