You know, there are some benefits to later potty training. ;) Both my boys trained "late"...Jason trained overnight (both day and night) at 3.5. 1 accident outside on the second day. Never had to sit in a bathroom or try to convince him to use it. Easy peasy. Just decided that he was ready (after seeing his friend's batman underwear)

Kyle trained at around 4. He had more accidents (which means it is a good thing that we did not try earlier as he really was not ready) but in about 2 weeks he was completely trained. I did very little other then encourage and remind. He was totally motivated.

The benefits were less frustration on my part, fewer accidents, no power struggles and to be honest with you, diapers are easier especially when you are out running errands LOL! No frantically searching for an icky public toliet when they *have* to go!

I guess you can just call me lazy, but I never really felt the desire to push them out of diapers. They are now 10 and almost 7 and you would never know they were "late"...

Ok, so when you're done with Leah, you come over here and help. ;)

Meg is very much away of what she needs to do. she spends enough time actually using the potty - but not consistantly enough for us to give up diapers. she simply has decided it's not quite time for her to do so yet. She tells me she will use the potty when she's 3. Great.

My daughter just turned two and I've been contemplating starting the potty training with her. Thanks for the post, you just convinced me to wait.
