Top Ten Reasons I Will Not Post Daily After NaBloPoMo
// 11.24.06 // Filed under: Thriving
- Sitting in front of the computer at 11:30 pm and hoping for inspiration is getting old.
- Entertaining people with mundane daily details is not my forte.
- I want to devote more time to Homeschool Hacks.
- Posting daily sucks up time that I normally spend reading blogs.
- I have a bunch of half-finished thoughts that I need several days to flesh out, but daily posting takes time away from that.
- My life just isn’t that exciting.
- Getting in the habit of writing daily is useful. Forcing myself to post something – anything – is not useful.
- When I actually fall asleep in the middle of composing a post, something’s seriously wrong.
- Checking my traffic stats is not as much fun when my traffic is going down.
- Quality is better than quantity.

Blogging Can Consume You

Here here. I will not be posting daily after Nablo either. I need a break!
count me in also.
The blogger in me doesn’t participate in these things for precisely these reasons: I write when I feel motivated, and I hate feeling like I HAVE to crank something out, just to fill space.
The other side of my writer’s persona is somewhat more business-like. When I write in the real world, I have to hit the deadline, otherwise I’ll never get paid. Even if I’m not feeling the literary love that day, I must force myself to gut it out.
Perhaps because I have to suck it up so often when I’m working, I refuse to do it when I’m blogging. Either way, you’re always worth reading. The month is THIS close to being over. Sleep in after that – you’ve earned it.
