My iPod Is Happy, But I Am Not

I’m sad tonight. I tried to set up my new iMac to run Windows on a partition of the hard drive. (Yes, it can be done and it’s going to be SO cool when it’s actually working.) I spent half the day messing around with the computer and the end result was that the Mac side would not even run properly anymore. Grrr… So I am currently doing a clean installation on the Mac (thanks to the help of a good friend) and crossing my fingers that it plays nicely with me again.

I’m tired, I have a cold and I’m angry. And my son is angry. He is so excited about this computer because the old one we had in the living room froze up on us about every 10 minutes. He can’t wait to play his new game obsession: ToonTown, but he’s going to have to wait at least a week longer until my friend can come over and work out the kinks.

On the other hand, my iPod is happy. Thanks for all your suggestions. I’ve re-discovered my love of pop music with the sweet voice of Jesse McCartney, and to those who suggested John Mayer – Yes! Lovin’ him. I even downloaded some Hannah Montana. Sometimes, I’m still a teeny-bopper at heart. And the best song to work out to? Pat Benatar’s All Fired Up.

Just look at this photo of L playing ToonTown. Can you just see the joy in this boy’s face?

Glad to hear about hte happy IPOd! Girlie has been so funny about raiding my CDs to download into her IPOD. Can you believe her music goes from Cheetah Girls, to the Black Crowes, to the Knack (M-m-m-m-y Sharona).

We had the same problem with ToonTown…and had a two-month old Dell. We called support and nothing helped; it would just freeze up. I had decided it was the game itself, and cancelled Girlie’s subscription.

Good luck with the new Mac!
