Upcoming Concert Events for the PHAT Family

I used to be really fun. PHAT Daddy & I traveled, went out to dinner, and attended concerts. And when L was born, having a child didn’t cramp our style. He was a calm little restaurant patron, easily entertained by a pile of salt & pepper on a placemat that could be scooped and dumped with his hotwheels trucks. He adjusted pretty well to sleeping in new places. He didn’t mind being in the car.
Then we had C. And, well, you can guess where I’m going with this. We’ve taken her to a restaurant a few times and it’s been a stressful blur. We recently tried again at TGI Friday’s. She had a few bites, then smashed her food in her fists and threw it on the floor. We kept her occupied (sort of) by letting her dip a lemon in a glass of water and shake the water out on the table.
But there is one thing C loves: music. And now that she is walking, we’re all about some kid-friendly concerts. So you can imagine my excitement when a couple of friends emailed me this link: High School Musical concert tour set. Unfortunately, Zac Efron will not be joining the cast. But all the other major players from the movie will be performing live and everyone in the PHAT Family is pretty psyched!
And? In December, we’re going to see The Laurie Berkner Band. Let the fun begin return!

PHAT = Parenting, Homeschooling And Technology. That about sums up my life at the moment.

I’m so jealous about Laurie Berkner—I had been checking for tour dates but it always said she was on a break to spend time with her daughter. Unfortunately, she isn’t coming far enough “East” for us to catch her. Oh well! Have fun!
