Scrapbooking, Blogging Go Hand-In-Hand
// 9.14.06 // Filed under: Thriving
I just discovered something really useful. When I scrapbook an event, all I have to do is go to my blog, copy the blog post for that event, maybe change a few words and – Presto! – instant journaling.
Since I am pretty behind in my scrapbooking, there have been many times that I’ve sat down with a bunch of photos and struggled to recall all the details and emotions. But now there’s my blog to help me remember.
I totally heart blogging.

ok feel free to shoot me dead for being so dense, but what exactly is scrapbooking? why do it? how do you do it? I need a new hobby anyway.
Scrapbooking is a creative way of doing more with your photos than just putting them in an album. It’s a way to preserve them safely (with acid-free papers) and write down your memories. Here’s where you can find out more:

Or Google it and you’ll get a bazillion links.
Have fun!
I blog and scrapbook, too, and you are abosolutely right about how invaluable my blog is in terms of helping me remember things. I started out scrapbooking, in fact, BECAUSE I couldn’t remember details, even if I had the photo!
Someone else thinks they are a natural, too. I don’t have the info. right at hand, but I recently came across a company that basically downloads your blog and prints it in a hardbound book. Isn’t that cool?
Great idea!!
