I’m So Out Of the Loop
I haven’t read my favorite blogs in a couple weeks.
So I got up this morning at 5:00 am (after crashing last night at 8:30), made coffee and poured it into my “I write bloggity goodness” mug (courtesy of Karen at Troll Baby), and lost myself in blog-reading (although I’m not even close to being caught up). (Just how many parentheses are grammatically correct in one sentence?) Here are the highlights:
- Over at BlogHer, Mary Tsao writes about male caregivers and asks “Should all men be treated as potential pedophiles?” Join the discussion here.
- Mom-101 got published in the Huffington Post. Way to go, Liz!
- Sandy’s little girl turned two. Sandy and I are convinced we are living the same life. I could have written her post myself about my own soon-to-be-two year old.
- I have a new blog renter, Girls Eye View. She’s a new blogger and pretty funny, so please spread some blogging love to her.
Oh, and my eye? It looks like this:

My son thinks it’s funny to call me Mad-Eye (as in Mad-Eye Moody from the Harry Potter books).

PHAT = Parenting, Homeschooling And Technology. That about sums up my life at the moment.

You need to stop showing off your acrobatic skills for the kids, dear! That looks like it hurts!
Glad to see you are back in the loop. BTW, I remember you were in Jersey…how far are you from Easton, PA? I just mention it , as that is where our learning center is. Thought Luke would be interested in the future!

Damn, Shan. Ouch, ouch, ouch. You were so ROBBED by that ER doc - that definitely looks like it warrants codeine. Hope you feel better and heal quickly. And…um….although you may not yet be able to appreciate it now (you definitely had an “I’ll be able to laugh about this someday” moment), Luke calling you “Mad-Eye” is quite hysterical…

I know it probably hurts like Heck, but that is the coolest thing I’ve seen this week. I’d make up a story about being in a bar-room brawl.

Shannon,
That is actually a very pretty shade of purple… Unfortunately, I know it will soon be yellow and green.
Speedy healing! Sounds like something I would have done!

Sorry about the mishap and hope your eye is looking less angry.
