Her Wedding Scrapbook is Only 2 Years Late

I’m back from my weekend crop and it was wonderful. I finally finished my sister’s wedding scrapbook that she asked me to do for her nearly 2 years ago. Yeah, shut up. I had a baby. I know. 21 months ago. Shut up.

I got 26 pages completed this weekend, even though I was so lame that I had to go to bed by 10 pm. Other ladies were just breaking out the alcoholic beverages and turning up the music and I’m all like, “Hey, can someone open the scrap room at 6 am, cuz that’s when I wake up!”

The Memories Expo was in the nearby convention center, and that was a little disappointing. I found a few fun new items, but there weren’t as many vendors as in previous years. Good thing, I suppose. I didn’t spend too much money.

So I’m home now. Back to reality and re-motivated to work on my scrapbooks. And now L is all into scrapbooking, too. I gave him a bunch of photos and he’s matting them and adding stickers and even doing some simple journaling. He’s never been big on crafty stuff, so this is a great way for him to be creative and also work on writing and spelling. It’s way too cute to see him so proud of the pages he makes.

Welcome back. I’m glad to hear you had a good time. I always get re-motivated when I get back from conventions. You should definitely take advantage of it!

Sounds like an awesome time…and a great way to be inspired. And I completed agree that having a baby is the best reason to not get someone else’s wedding scrapbook done. After all, how could you NOT scrapbook every little moment of your own life then? ;) (Who still has yet to finish adding to a mother’s day gift album for her MIL from three years ago?)

Ooo! I’m glad I clicked through on your comment over at Motherhood Uncensored..

Had a good giggle at your kidlets’ blogonyms! Mine were almost dubbed Luke and Leia, as their father is “affectionately” known as ‘Darthdad.’

I’ll get settled in and read a bit more before I make a “real” comment.

I’m new to scrapbooking and blogging for that matter…but experienced with exhaustion and lacking in time. I just found these beautiful (time saving!) memory books while looking for childrens furniture At least it will make my memories look organized and beautiful!

With having a newborn taking up all your time and everything else you have to do, I say two years isn’t bad at all. Its good that the weekend crop refreshed you and got those creative juices flowing again.
