The Trials of Summer Have Begun

(Alternate title: Why I Totally Hate the Pool Company)

I love this time of year - getting out patio furniture, cleaning up leaves, planting flowers, mulching, and opening the pool. After a few weeks, I’m completely done with the gardening and property maintenance crap, but when those first warm days appear and the earth greens up, I’m really into it.

Yesterday our pool was scheduled to be opened. But if you know anything about the hell we’ve been through installing this pool, you won’t be surprised to hear that there was yet ANOTHER problem. After the pool was closed last fall, I thought I was free of the idiots company that installed the pool. But apparently they did not drain the pipes properly and now there’s a crack in one of them. Now I need to call them repeatedly until they finally get their asses out here to fix it. I’ve also called an independent contractor to see what it would cost to just leave the pool company out of it.

{Sigh.} Just another step along the long and winding road of home maintenance.
