<description>Like most taxes...we probably shouldn't have them in place anyway. Governments at all levels REALLY need to look at how taxpayer money is spent and decide if this is something that should come from the public coffers...or simply wind up on the ash bin of history.

I'm a huge believer in personal responsibility! Most, what I'd consider non-essential programs, benefit those that have made choices in their lives that put themselves at significantly higher risk for need of bail out. Whether it's problems with drugs, alcohol, too many children, choosing to live 10 feet below sea level in a coastal region or whatever...the money I send Washington somehow winds up far from where I live, benefitting people that should have known better.

Oh well...that's life. So much for being awakened by a thunderstorm early this morning! Maybe I can go to my child's school on Monday for some free therapy from the psychologist, huh? (Yeah, right. Heard worse outgoing in Desert Storm. Bah hah!)

See you on the high ground!
