Wow! I can't believe your little sister is married and having a baby. Boy, do I feel old! You'll accomplish your goals, I'm sure, but try not to be too hard on yourself. You are a busy, busy lady! And, don't lose too much or you'll have to be SKINNI mommy.

The ONLY way I survived my first year of homeschooling (and without gaining the pounds!) was by finding an awesome YMCA with childcare close to home. After schoolwork was completed for the day (no easy task with a 7th grader, first grader, kindergartener, and pre-schooler!) we would head off to the Y (Dad worked 2nd shift) where the younger kids played age-appropriate games, my oldest worked out for PE, and Mommy got to sweat away the day's stress for 30 minutes to one hour. Y's are usually fairly economical and even have family assistance/scholarship programs for those of us on one income. And the extra curricular programs- sports, homeschool PE, etc- are out of this world! I encourage you to check it out.

As someone who also wants to add weight to her scrapbooks while losing it from her bod, I share your goals. But 2 pounds a week? That seems awfully ambitious...unrealistically so. Even one pound a week, if you stick to it, would add up (or down?) quickly. Be kind and reasonable to yourself, as you would to a friend...or your kids.

I enjoy your blog! --Melissa in NJ
