PHAT Links: Preschool Crafts, Coloring and Word Fun
Filed Under: Homeschooling, Link Love, Parenting
Today I’ve got some links for your preschooler or kindergartner who loves crafts, coloring and learning letters and words.
1. KinderArt: Tons of wonderful art lessons and craft ideas for little ones.
2. DLTK’s Printable Crafts for Kids offers crafts, coloring pages, holiday projects, educational themes and some favorite cartoon characters.
3. Kaboose: This site is chock full of seasonal and holiday crafts and also has comprehensive sections for recipes, games, clip art and more.
4. A to Z Home’s Cool has a list of articles and web links for pre-readers. Topics include the various ways to teach (or not teach!) reading, as well as games, activity sheets and resources for parents.
5. Letter of the Week Preschool Curriculum: A complete online reading curriculum. Note: I have not used this method, but it looks quite comprehensive and it’s free. Even if you don’t use the whole curriculum, there are some useful tools here for teaching little ones letters and phonics.
6. And if your children are learning to read and write, please check out this neat idea from Creative Homeschooling to help them remember the difference between their Bs, Ds, 9s and Ps.

PHAT = Parenting, Homeschooling And Technology. That about sums up my life at the moment.
