Overheard in Our House This Afternoon
// 12.14.05 // Filed under: My Daughter, My Son
1. L, while playing a football game on PS2, says “These guys blow.”
“Excuse me?” I said. “What does that mean, they are bad?” Just checking to be sure he was in fact using the term properly.
“Yeah, the defense blows.”
“Where did you hear that word?”
“Nowhere.”
Hmmm….
2. C, pointing at Darth Vader on L’s shirt, says “hoo-pah.”
This is, of course, the sound we routinely make around our house to emulate Vader’s breathing. Too funny. Just too funny.

VA Tech: Nothing “Could Have Been Done”

My four-year-old daughter regularly cracks me up by doing her most excellent imitation of Darth Vader’s breathing…I love it. I ask her to perform this all the time for people… (She was “a girl Yoda” for Halloween, but her favorite character is Princess Leia.)
Just how did your docile, homeschooled child hear, “Blows?” Nastiness creeps in from everywhere trying to invade our children, doesn’t it? Nick came home the other day with a recommended website to visit. http://www.shemale.com. Lovely, no? The child who referred him is one of his best friends. We met him and his family through our church!
Gee, Buh-weet, I know where Padawan heard that word!!!!!!!!
I like to play ps2
