It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like…

Cards – done. Gifts – done. Whew. Now it’s time to relax and enjoy.
Update on my three goals:
1. Losing 10 pounds – no way. Was I crazy to embark on that goal this time of year? I thought that since I had no big parties or any traveling until this week, that I would be able to stay away from temptation for most of December. But then the gifts started arriving from PHAT Daddy’s clients. Chocolate, nuts, wine… I’ll work on those 10 lbs in January.
2. Sleeping – ah, finally C is sleeping through the night consistently. She is still nursing before bed and man, does she love that time. Several times during the day she will grab her baby bear and say “night night?”, which I’ve come to understand does NOT mean she wants to go to sleep, but means she wants to nurse. So I say, “No, it’s not time for night night, it’s time to play!” The other night, about 10 seconds after she started to nurse, she looked up at me and said “Night niiiiiiggggghhhht” while nodding her head and smiling. It was as if she was saying to me, “Yeah, baby this is what I’m talking about!” It was so funny and adorable.
3. Schedule – not quite there yet, but my husband’s head may explode if I talk about “adjusting” the schedule one more time. One major issue is that C wants to go to bed early and L wants to go to bed late. I keep trying to get them closer together, but it seems no matter how late I keep C up, she still wakes up at 5:30 – 6:00 am. I’ll just have to keep trying.
