100th Post! And Twenty Truths!
Yippee! My 100th post! Yay me! So do you like my new design? C’est chic, oui?
I found this meme on Michelle’s blog (she also writes Captain Typho’s blog) and it was so much fun I had to try it myself. Here’s the deal: Fifteen of the statements below are true and five are false. Can you guess which 5 are false?
1. I was on my high school diving team and once hit the diving board face-first.
2. At age 16, I threw up after drinking several wine coolers and have not touched a wine cooler since.
3. I was a member of two sororities in college - one social, one academic.
4. I learned to ski at age 22.
5. I am a Barry Manilow fan.
6. I have been arrested.
7. I was first runner up in a beauty pageant.
8. I once dyed a white strip of hair down either side of my head (resembling a skunk).
9. I have played the flute for the Governor of New York State.
10. I went to high school with Mariah Carey.
11. I have tried crack.
12. I have shoplifted.
13. I have spoken face-to-face with the lead singer of Cheap Trick.
14. I love to gamble at casinos.
15. I am a published author.
16. I will watch any movie with Antonio Bandares in it.
17. I ran a fantasy football league for two years.
18. I love swimming in the ocean.
19. I have my belly button pierced.
20. I love disco.

PHAT = Parenting, Homeschooling And Technology. That about sums up my life at the moment.

I have no idea either, but I’ll guess 5-6-8-12-15 are false.
No, there are not vomit-flavored jelly beans, but in Harry Potter books, there are.

Being that I just got here and have never met you, I won’t even pretend to know which five statements are false. However. Your site design is very slick, and “Star Wars Unmasked” caught my eye precisely 1.138 seconds after your blog loaded. I read “Darthside”, which was la parody Darth Vader blog, and found it to be the best read I’d had in months. I’m off to check out your Padme Amidala blog right after I hit the publish button here, eager to see if it yields the same experience. Michele sent me. May the force be with us, always.

From Michele’s.
I don’t know you, have never met you, have not visited your blog before and am not ESP enabled, BUT, clearly the 5 false statements, with accompanying reasons, are:
3: There is no such thing as an academic sorority, I know this to be a fact because all the Hollywood college movies tell me so.
5: If this were true you’d have said “I’m THE Barry Manilow fan”
10: Mariah shows very little sign of ever having received an education.
13: I’d have believed this if you’d said I’ve spoken to the lead singer of Cheap Trick when he was off his face.
16: Antonio Bandares has never been in a movie.
I’m right aren’t I?

Marcus - I applaud your humor, great comment! However, three of the five statements you chose are in fact true.
As for the Cathy & Kenju’s guesses, one of them chose five true statements and one had three out of five true.

You would think it would be easy for me to correctly pick the five false statements…but I found it really difficult. So here goes…..I think the five false statements are, 1, 6, 10, 17, 19. Ok Shannon, how did I do? Love you!

1, 10, 11, 17 and 19.

Anonymous - 2 of those statements are false.
I am going to give this a couple days to see if some more of my friends comment. I think I will post the answers on Tuesday night.

Congrats on you 100th post!
Here are my guesses.
2.No one has ever thrown up on wine coolers. They are total sissy drinks.
3.I’m not saying there are no Barry Manilow fans, I’m just saying no sane person would admit to it.
19.A ring through Mommy’s belly button would be just too tempting for a couple of younglings to give a good yank.
20.See #3.
