Priorities?

I’m not finishing C’s first year scrapbook in time for her birthday party. I swear, sometimes I don’t know where my head is. Where are my priorities? I’m writing a Star Wars fan fiction blog instead of working on my one and only daughter’s scrapbook which will commemorate all the important events of her first year of life?? Pfht. Boo hiss. Bad Mommy.

I got 6 months done, then I lost my momentum. And I take too many damned pictures so it becomes overwhelming to edit, crop, choose and print the ones I want. Most of my photos are on my old computer – which is not hooked up to the photo printer - and the CD burner went kaplooey, so I can’t burn the photos to a CD to print them from my new computer. Instead, I’m spending hours uploading them to Snapfish, where I still have hundreds of pre-paid prints from *before* I got my photo printer. Yeah, it is just slightly insane.

In lieu of showcasing C’s scrapbook at her party this weekend, I am creating a DVD slideshow. This is my first foray into DVD creation, so I’ll let you know what software I use and how it works out.

What a beautiful layout! I am hanging my head in shame as well. I used to be SO dutiful about my scrapbooking. Somewhere around mid-2003, a just stopped. I still keep the photos in the boxes, in order, waiting to get motivated. Instead, I start crocheting, and knitting. I really have craft ADHD.

That is very impressive. I don’t think you should be hanging your head in shame at all. That is a beautiful scrapbook page and you should be proud. I have one child (born 8/2003) - just one, and I can barely get to working on his scrapbook. I don’t see how you do it.

That is a beautiful page. Are you digi scrapping? I love to do that!

Don’t worry, I sat down and did my Little Princess’s entire 1 year scrapbook sometime around 14 months. She is 3 1/2 now and it is still my little secret!
