Low Carb and (Not) Lovin’ It
I have embarked on my sugar detox plan. I will be sugar-free, and cutting back on refined carbs, until September 17th. I am SO not enjoying this.
On the plus side, I’m starting BodyPump class this week. BodyPump ROCKS! It’s weight training choreographed to music, and it kicks my butt. I haven’t taken a class in about 5 years, so I’ll probably be incapacitated by muscle pain on Thursday. If I even make it through the class.
How sad is it that I used to write regularly on health and fitness - even wrote a fitness book and taught fitness classes – and I am now so lame that I can no longer make it through a one-hour fitness class and I have withdrawal when I go a day without sugar.

PHAT = Parenting, Homeschooling And Technology. That about sums up my life at the moment.

Congratulations on your plan. Stick to it.
Just one question. Where do I send the dozen donuts and what type(jelly, boston creme) do you like?

YOu have really inspired me to my own nasty downfall over the years. As an ex-gymnast, I know how to eat nutritionally sound and exercise well…I am just too lazy to do it.
I have discussed the sugar detox with the family, and although they won’t try it all the way with me, they have even offered to cut back.
I’ll keep you posted!
