The Net
If I were single and had no children, I’d be just like Sandra Bullock’s character in The Net. I’d sit at my computer, completely unaware of the time of day, and read, play games, blog and chat. I’d have Mexican food delivered and drink margaritas. Blissfully ensconced in a cozy chair, my head would bob from the computer monitor to the television screen. My groceries would be delivered. My friends would be virtual.
But alas, I am married and have two children. I am forced to live in the real world. So I steal my blissful moments when I can. And now and again, an interesting topic lights a fire under me and makes me wish the world would just go away. Now is one of those times.
I won’t reveal to you what passion is currently holding me captive at my computer, calling me to surf one site after another in search of information. I will only say that I’m beginning a project unlike anything I’ve ever done before. My home and family are being neglected tonight, but my adrenaline is pumping and it feels AMAZING.

PHAT = Parenting, Homeschooling And Technology. That about sums up my life at the moment.

I have a girlfriend who gets her MIL to watch her children for a few days when her hubby leaves for business and does just that. She says it recharges her soul and she is ready for another few months of homeschooling that way! I am SO green!!
I love your blog (and PHAT is way too hip!) I’m going to steal that when talking to my kids friends!
