Update on the Babes

Time for a quick update! L is learning to ride a bike and is quite motivated and ready. He is in full Star Wars immersion as the promotions for the movie are everywhere now. We’ll be seeing Darth Vader at Kid’s Night at Perkins restaurant next week - hopefully I’ll have some good photos to share from that! And we need to go to Burger King every day to collect all the Star Wars kids meal toys. (If anyone goes to Burger King - get a toy for us!)

As for his talking to others, we’ve seen some improvement lately. He’s much quicker to warm up and has been saying hello to friends on occasion. At the gym, he doesn’t cling to me at all - just runs off to play. But we’ve noticed an increase in meltdowns at home, which is the natural result of him making such an effort in public - he eventually needs an outlet for his feelings.

C has two new teeth, for a total of four now. She’s also started “talking” - she says “aye yi yi yi” and something close to “da da da.” And she loves taking a bath and splashing - I can’t wait to get her in the pool!

She’s 8 months old and wears 18 month clothing. My stars. We packed her Aquarium Cradle Swing away today. Sniff, sniff. She loved the swing, but she’s just too darn chubby for it now.
