The Princess at Six Months
C had her 6-month check up last week. She’s weighing in at 20 lbs and 12 oz. So I have one child who is 6 months, but wearing 12 month clothing, and one child who is 6 1/2 and wearing size 4T. Go figure.
In addition to having plentiful fat stores, C is sitting up on her own for several seconds and she has her first tooth peeking out on the bottom. I had thought she had a tooth coming in on top last month, but I was mistaken. (You try inspecting the drooly mouth of a 5 month old and figuring out what’s going on - it’s not easy. )
Right now, she is sleeping fitfully. Over the course of the day she has developed a ragged cough and started wheezing. I fear she may have a case of croup. She hasn’t been sick yet in her young little life, and I forgot how scary it can be when your baby is sick. I hold her, listening to her labored breathing and watching her look up at me with her baby blues that say “Oh please Mommy, make it better.” I wish so hard that I could make it go away. Moms are supposed to make everything all right.

PHAT = Parenting, Homeschooling And Technology. That about sums up my life at the moment.

Hey Shan,
Backsides are good too! We have many shots of our little one that way. Go figure sometimes they just turn around. Glad to know your universe has meaning.
Peace
PS. Sometimes we parents can just love, as making one feel better isn’t truly in our hands. We just do what we can!
